Thomas Friedman raises an important question in The New York Times : “Is there a company more dangerous to America’s future than General Motors?” Were they to survive—which seems like a long shot to me—I would be willing to accept that they are our greatest single threat. Almost everything the company wants is bad for us: Hummers, subsidized gasoline for Hummer drivers, cash rebates to scrap cars that run, and the ability to flee their corporate obligations
